Rule 3.1100 Application

Civil law and motion rules cover a specific set of court proceedings. These rules apply to formal motions and hearings in civil cases, as well as to discovery disputes that come up in family law and probate cases.

Discovery means the process where parties exchange information and documents before a case goes to trial. If a dispute over discovery arises in a family law or probate case, these same civil rules will guide how that dispute is handled in court.
