Rule 3.1390 Service and filing of notice of entry of dismissal

When a party asks the court to dismiss a case, their job is not done after the dismissal is granted. They must also tell every other party involved in the case that the dismissal happened.

This is done by sending a formal notice and filing a copy of that notice with the court. Both steps, serving the other parties and filing with the court, are required.
