When a doctor or patient is required by law to report certain medical information to a government agency, that information is not protected by doctor-patient privilege. The same applies to medical records that must be filed with a government office.

This only matters if those reports or records are available for the public to see. If the information is already open to anyone who wants to look at it, there is no reason to keep it private in court.
