Rule 406 This article does not limit the right of a party to introduce before the trier of fact evidence relevant to weight or credibility.

Even if a judge decides that certain evidence can be used in court, that does not mean everyone has to accept it as true or reliable. Any party in the case can still bring in other evidence to challenge how much weight that evidence should carry or whether it should be believed at all.

For example, if a witness testifies, the other side can present evidence showing that the witness has a reason to lie or has been wrong before. The rules about what evidence is allowed into court are separate from the question of how convincing that evidence actually is.
