If you bring a printed copy of a newspaper or magazine into court, the judge will assume it is what it says it is. You do not need to prove that the copy of the Los Angeles Times is actually the Los Angeles Times, for example.

This only applies to publications that come out on a regular schedule, like daily, weekly, or monthly. As long as the publication releases new issues at least every three months, the court will accept it as genuine without extra proof.
