Rule 920 Nothing in this division shall be construed to repeal by implication any other statute relating to privileges.

This rule says that the privilege laws in this section of the Evidence Code do not cancel out any other privilege laws found elsewhere in California law.

If another law gives someone the right to keep certain information private, that right still stands. This section of the Evidence Code does not quietly erase those other protections just because it covers similar ground.
