When a doctor is in court or another legal setting, they are required to speak up and protect your private medical information. If someone tries to get that information disclosed, the doctor must object on your behalf.

This applies as long as the doctor is present and has the legal authority to claim the privilege. The doctor does not just have the option to protect your information, they are required to do it. You do not have to be there yourself to have your medical privacy protected.
