These rules apply to every court in California. No matter which court handles your case, whether it's a small claims court or a higher court, these rules are the ones that everyone must follow.

The official name for this group of rules is the "Rules Applicable to All Courts." You may see that name used in legal documents or court forms when referring to these rules.
