Rule 10.780 Administration of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) programs

Each California trial court can run its own alternative dispute resolution (ADR) programs. ADR includes things like mediation and arbitration, which are ways to settle a dispute without going to a full trial.

If you are involved in a court case, you may be asked or required to try ADR before your case goes to a judge. The specific rules about how ADR works in your case can be found in a different part of the California Rules of Court, called Title 3, Division 8.
