Rule 7.403 Listing all claims in the final report

When someone dies and their estate goes through probate, people or companies can file claims to collect money they are owed. The person managing the estate (called the personal representative) must keep track of every single one of these claims.

Before the estate can be closed and assets handed out, the personal representative must list details about each claim in their final report. This includes who filed the claim, when they filed it, what the claim was for, how much money they wanted, and what happened with the claim.

If a claim was rejected, the report must also show when the person was told about the rejection and whether they responded by filing a lawsuit. This gives the court a clear picture of any unresolved money disputes before the estate is wrapped up.
