Rule 2.1 Title

This group of rules has an official name: the Trial Court Rules. Courts and lawyers use this name when referring to these specific rules that govern how trial courts in California operate.

That is the entire purpose of this rule. It simply gives the collection of rules its official title so everyone knows what they are talking about when the rules are mentioned in legal documents or court proceedings.
