Rule 150 Nonresident

If a court needs to appoint a receiver, that person must live in Delaware. A receiver is someone the court puts in charge of managing property or a business during a lawsuit.

This rule only applies to a sole receiver, meaning one person acting alone in that role. If someone does not live in Delaware when the court is ready to make the appointment, they cannot be chosen for that position.
