Rule 163 Register: Duty When Receiver in Default

If a court-appointed receiver misses a deadline to file required reports or financial accounts, the court clerk (called the Register) must take two steps. First, the Register tells the court about the missed deadline. Second, the Register notifies the receiver that they are late.

This rule keeps receivers accountable by making sure their missed deadlines do not go unnoticed. The court will be aware of the problem, and the receiver will be put on notice that they need to act.
