Rule 187 Effective Date

Rules 187 through 202 cover court cases dealing with the estates of people who died on or after December 25, 1974. If someone died before that date, these rules do not apply to their estate.

This cutoff date matters if you are involved in settling a deceased person's estate. You need to know when the person died to understand which rules govern the case.
