Rule 13 Trial together of indictments or informations

When someone faces multiple criminal charges, the court can combine them into one trial instead of holding separate trials. This can happen when the charges are related enough that they could have originally been filed together.

The combined trial follows the same steps and rules as if all the charges had been filed together from the start. If multiple defendants are involved, the court can also try them together in one trial, as long as the charges against them could have been grouped into a single case.
