Rule 232 Making Peremptory Challenges

After the court removes jurors for cause, each side gets to remove additional jurors without giving any reason. These are called peremptory challenges.

This happens when enough jurors remain on the list: 24 names in district court or 12 names in county court. Once that number is reached, both sides can start making their peremptory challenges. You do not have to explain why you want to remove someone when using a peremptory challenge.
