If you want to challenge your conviction using this type of petition, you have to file it in the same court where you were originally convicted. That's the only court allowed to hear and decide the case.
If you accidentally file the petition in the wrong court, don't worry too much. The court won't just throw it out. Instead, they will send it to the correct court, the one that handled your original conviction, so it can be reviewed there.
This rule basically makes sure that the judge or court most familiar with your case, the one that already has all the records and history, is the one deciding whether your conviction should be reconsidered.
