Rule 14 Special judges, compensation.

When a special judge is called in to handle cases in circuit court or district court, they get paid $100 for each day they work. This pay rate applies whether the special judge is filling in temporarily or handling a specific case that a regular judge cannot take.

The same pay rate applies to special judges who work in probate court. If a special judge is assigned to probate court duties under state law, they also earn $100 per day for their work.

In short, this rule sets one flat daily rate of $100 for special judges, no matter which of these courts they are assigned to.
