Rule 25 Jurisdiction

The Trial Division of the High Court has original jurisdiction over all contested adoption proceedings. The District Court has original jurisdiction over all uncontested adoption proceedings. Should an adoption before the District Court become contested the matter shall be immediately transferred to the Trial Division of the High Court.
