Plain-English Summary (for reference only — not a substitute for the rule text above)
This summary is not the rule. The rule text controls.
In most court cases, both sides must share information and documents with each other before a hearing. This process is called disclosure. However, that requirement does not apply to protective order hearings in Arizona.
If you are involved in a hearing for an Order of Protection, Injunction Against Harassment, or Injunction Against Workplace Harassment, neither side is required to hand over documents or information to the other side ahead of time. The only exception is if a judge specifically orders both sides to do so.
