Rule 8.16 Amendments to statutes

When these appellate rules mention a law, that reference automatically includes any updates or changes made to that law later on. You do not need to worry that a rule is pointing to an outdated version of a statute.

This keeps the rules current without needing to rewrite them every time the California legislature changes a law.
