Rule 8.404 Stay pending appeal

If you win an appeal and want to pause a court order while the case continues, the court will not automatically stop that order. Before any pause can happen, the child's needs must be taken care of first.

This means the court has to see that the child will still be properly housed, cared for, and looked after before it agrees to put any order on hold. The child's well-being comes before anything else in this process.
