Rule 8.470 Hearing and decision in the Court of Appeal

When a juvenile case reaches the Court of Appeal, the court follows the same basic rules for hearings and decisions that it uses in other civil appeal cases. Those rules cover things like oral argument, how judges make their decisions, and how the court issues its ruling.

The only exception is when more specific juvenile appeal rules apply. Rules 8.400 through 8.456 cover certain juvenile cases in more detail, and those specific rules take over when they apply to a situation.
