Rule 8.68 Shortening time

A top judge in the appeals court can speed up deadlines if there is a good reason to do so. This applies to almost any action or step required during an appeal.

If you need more time for something, this rule works the other way too. The normal deadlines exist as a default, but they are not always set in stone. If your situation calls for moving faster, the court has the power to make that happen.
