Rule 8.880 Application

This chapter's rules cover appeals heard in the appellate division. They apply to two types of cases: civil cases and misdemeanor criminal cases.

There may be some exceptions where a specific rule only applies to one type of case or works differently. When that happens, the rule itself will say so.
