Rule 3.930 Documents and exhibits

When a court appoints a referee to handle part of a case, everyone involved must follow the same rules for filing and managing paperwork that apply in regular court proceedings. A referee is a neutral person appointed by the court to help decide certain issues or oversee specific parts of a case.

Rule 2.400 covers how documents and exhibits are submitted, labeled, stored, and returned after a case is finished. Both the referee and all parties in the case are responsible for following these requirements, not just the attorneys.
