Rule 320 Except as otherwise provided by law, the court in its discretion shall regulate the order of proof.

The judge gets to decide the order in which evidence and testimony are presented during a trial. This means the judge controls when each side gets to show their evidence or call their witnesses.

This is not something either side can simply demand or change on their own. If a lawyer wants to present things in a different order, they would need to ask the judge and get permission.
