When you are in court, each side has a responsibility to bring forward evidence to support their claims. If you are the one trying to prove something, you are the one who needs to show the evidence for it. You cannot just make a claim and wait for the other side to disprove it.

If no one presents any evidence about a specific fact, the court will rule against the party who needed that fact to be true. This means that if proving a certain point helps your case, you need to actually bring proof of it to court. The responsibility to produce that evidence falls on you.
