Rule 637 The things which a person possesses are presumed to be owned by him.

If you have something in your possession, the court will assume it belongs to you. This is the starting point unless someone can prove otherwise.

This matters in court cases where ownership is disputed. The person challenging your ownership has to bring evidence to show the item is not actually yours.
