Rule 640 A writing is presumed to have been truly dated.

When you show a document in court, the law assumes the date on it is correct. You do not have to prove the date is real just to use the document.

If someone thinks the date is wrong or fake, that person has to bring evidence to challenge it. The burden falls on the person questioning the date, not the person using the document.
