Rule 641 A letter correctly addressed and properly mailed is presumed to have been received in the ordinary course of mail.

If you mail a letter to the right address with proper postage, the court will assume the person got it. You do not need proof that they actually opened or read it.

This matters in legal situations where someone claims they never received a letter. The burden falls on them to show something went wrong, like a wrong address or a problem with mail delivery. Simply saying "I never got it" is not enough to overcome this presumption.
