When a government worker or official does their job, the court assumes they followed the rules and did everything correctly. This applies to people like police officers, clerks, and other public employees. You do not need to prove they did their job properly because the court starts by assuming they did.

There is one important exception. If someone was arrested without a warrant, this assumption does not apply to whether that arrest was legal. In that situation, the court will not simply assume the officer did everything right. The arrest will need to be looked at more carefully to decide if it was lawful.
