Rule 1.40 Statutory references on forms

When you look at a Judicial Council form, you may notice references to laws and rules printed at the bottom. Those references are there just to be helpful. They are not a required part of the form.

If a form is missing a reference to a specific law, or has one that does not seem to fit perfectly, that alone is not a reason to reject the form. As long as the form is the right one for your situation, it should be accepted.
