Rule 2.115 Hole punching

When you hand-deliver paper documents to a court for filing, you need to punch two holes at the top before you bring them in. The holes should be the standard size, spaced 2½ inches apart, and placed ⅝ inch down from the top edge of the paper.

This is a simple formatting requirement that helps court staff organize and store physical documents in their filing systems. If your papers are not hole-punched correctly, the clerk may refuse to accept them.
