§ 10 [Singular and Plural Interchangeable]

When a law uses a word like "person," it can also mean "persons" (more than one). The same works the other way: if a law says "documents," it can also apply to just one document.

This keeps lawmakers from having to write every rule twice just to cover both one and many. It is a basic grammar rule that courts follow when reading the law.
