§ 810 [Special Rules for Property Valuation Actions]

This rule sets up special guidelines for how evidence works in court cases where someone needs to figure out what a piece of property is worth. These special rules apply unless another law specifically says otherwise. So if a different statute already covers how to value property in a certain type of case, that other law takes priority over these general rules.

One important thing to know: these rules do not apply to property tax assessments. If you are dealing with a dispute about how much your property was taxed, or trying to challenge a tax assessment through an equalization proceeding, this rule does not cover that situation. Those cases follow different procedures entirely.
