RULE 5071-1. CONTINUANCESMOTIONS TO CONTINUE OR CANCEL HEARING OR TRIAL
(a) No continuance shall be effective unless the Court approves it in writing or in open Court. CounselAn attorney shall not be excused from appearing before the Court absent such approval or an unexpected emergency.
(b) A motion to continue or cancel any hearing, including a non-evidentiary hearing or a or trial, must be filed and served as soon as practicable and no later than 10 a.m.:00 AM on the Court business day preceding the scheduled hearing date.
(c) A motion to continue or cancel a hearing or trial or withdraw a motion or an opposition must be filed and served upon all previously served parties in a manner reasonably sufficient to reach said parties prior to their attendance at the subject hearing.
(d) Sections (a) and (b) shall not apply to motions filed by the chapter 13 trustee to dismiss a case.
