Bankr. D.N.J. — General rule
D.N.J. LBR 3015-4. Appearance at a Chapter 13 Confirmation Hearing
(a) Debtor. The debtor's attorney or a self-represented debtor must appear at any Chapter 13 confirmation hearing unless, before the hearing, the Chapter 13 trustee has recommended confirmation of the plan.
(b) Objecting party. An objecting party must appear at the confirmation hearing.
2025 Comment The amendments to this Rule are stylistic.
2015 Comment This Rule was formerly Local Bankruptcy Rule 3015-3. Subdivision (a) codifies the current practice of excusing an appearance when, before the hearing, the Chapter 13 trustee recommends confirmation. A Chapter 13 trustee will not recommend confirmation if a filed objection remains unresolved.
