D.N.J. LBR 3020-1. Chapter 11 Plan Effective Date The effective date of a Chapter 11 plan is 30 days after entry of the order confirming the plan unless the plan or confirmation order provides otherwise.
2025 Comment This Rule is also applicable in a Chapter 11 Complex Case. Additional amendments to this Rule are stylistic to conform with the Bankruptcy Rules.
2015 Comment This Rule was formerly Local Bankruptcy Rule 3016-1(b). The default effective date was changed from "when the order of confirmation becomes final" to "30 days after entry of the order confirming the plan" to provide a definitive effective date.
