LOCAL RULE 1001-1: SCOPE, CITATION, AND APPLICABILITY OF LOCAL RULES a. Scope and Citation of Rules. These local rules govern practice and procedure before the Court. The rules are to be cited as "District of South Carolina Local Bankruptcy Rules" and the individual rules may be cited as SC LBR ____ or "Bankr. D.S.C. R. _____."

b. Construction of Rules.

1. Construction with Other Rules. These rules do not create, modify, or abrogate substantive rights. The rules are not to be construed in a manner inconsistent with the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and the applicable Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. 2. References to Debtor and Creditor. Reference to "debtor" or "creditor" in the local rules shall also include counsel for the party where appropriate.

c. Local Forms. For proposed orders, instructional footnotes, and document identification information, such as form version numbers or coding that indicates a form is internal to a law firm, should be removed prior to submitting the order to the Court.
