Rule 1002-1 DIVISION OF BUSINESS The United States District Court for the United States Virgin Islands, Bankruptcy Division is a member of the Third Circuit. Pursuant to LBR 5011-1, all bankruptcy cases under title 11 and any or all proceedings arising under title 11 or arising in or related to a case under title 11 are referred to the Bankruptcy Judge appointed for or designated to sit in the United States Virgin Islands pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 152(a)(4) or 155. The Virgin Islands has two divisions, Division of St. Thomas/St. John and the Division of St. Croix. The St. Thomas/St. John divisional clerk's office handles bankruptcy cases for both divisions.
