Local Rule RULE 7055-1: Default Judgments

RULE 7055-1 Default Judgments A. If the defendant has failed to file a timely answer, the plaintiff must request that the Clerk enter default within fourteen (14) days after the answer deadline. If the plaintiff fails to request entry of default, the court may dismiss the adversary proceeding.
B. The plaintiff must file a Motion for Default Judgment within fourteen (14) days after the Clerk's entry of default. If the plaintiff fails to do so, the court may dismiss the adversary proceeding.
C. Motions for default judgment must be set for hearing on twenty-one (21) days notice and served on the party to be defaulted.
