Local Rule Admin. Order 25-04: Order Appointing Acting Clerk of Court and Acting Chief Deputy Clerk II

Admin. Order 25-04 ORDER APPOINTING ACTING CLERK OF COURT AND ACTING CHIEF DEPUTY CLERK II In view of the transfer of Rachel L. Webber, the Acting Clerk of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama (the "Court"), to the Office of the United States Bankruptcy Administrator for the Northern District of Alabama, the Court finds that it is in the best interests of the Court and the judiciary to appoint an acting clerk and an acting chief deputy clerk to assure adequate performance of the duties of the clerk of court under 28 U.S.C. § 156. Accordingly, and pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 954, it is ORDERED that, effective 12:01 AM CST on December 1, 2025:

1. Rachel Webber's appointment as Acting Clerk of Court is terminated.

2. Rhetta Carter, the current Operations Manager, is appointed as Acting Clerk of Court, with authority to act, temporarily, as Clerk of Court. This appointment is temporary and effective only until the earlier of (A) the appointment of a permanent Clerk of Court and (B) execution of a separate order of the Court otherwise terminating the appointment.

3. Kristy Cobb, the current Budget & Procurement Specialist, is appointed as Acting Chief Deputy Clerk II, with authority to act, temporarily, as Chief Deputy Clerk II. This appointment is temporary and effective only until the earlier of (A) the appointment of a permanent Chief Deputy Clerk II and (B) the execution of a separate order of the Court otherwise terminating the appointment.
