RULE 1072-3 ASSIGNMENT OF CHAPTER 9 CASES When a Chapter 9 case is filed, the clerk must not assign the case but must immediately notify the chief judge of the filing. The chief judge must then ask the chief circuit judge to designate a bankruptcy judge to conduct the case.
