RULE 5003-1 CLAIMS AGENTS On motion of the debtor or trustee, the court may authorize retention of a claims agent under 28 U.S.C. § 156(c) to prepare and maintain the claims register in a case. In a case with more than 500 creditors, the debtor must move to employ a claims agent that the clerk has approved. The claims register that a claims agent prepares and maintains is the court's official claims register. The clerk must supervise preparation and maintenance of the claims register in every case.
