LOCAL RULE 6007-1 Abandonment of Property at Meeting of Creditors Property may be abandoned at a meeting of creditors in any case in which a trustee has been appointed and in which notice that estate property may be abandoned at the meeting has been given in the "Notice of Meeting of Creditors".
To effect abandonment in this manner, the trustee must announce the abandonment at the meeting of creditors and hear no objections. The trustee must then clearly identify the property abandoned, noting that no objections were made, on the courts electronic filing system.
