Local Rule 45.1: The Clerk
Local Rules and Internal Operating Procedures of the First Circuit — Title VII. General Provisions
(a) Business Hours. The office of the clerk shall be open for business from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
(b) Fees and Costs. The clerk must charge the fees and costs which are fixed from time to time by the Judicial Conference of the United States, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1913.
(c) Copies of Opinions. Unless subject to a standing order which might apply to classes of subscribers, such as law schools, the charge for a copy of each opinion, after one free copy to counsel for each party, is $5.00. Free copies of opinions are available on the court’s website at www.ca1.uscourts.gov.
