Section 3.03 Failure to Submit a Juror Qualification Questionnaire or Appear If a person fails to submit a completed juror qualification questionnaire, the Clerk may issue a summons to the person directing them to appear in the Clerk's Office to complete the qualification questionnaire (28 U.S.C. § 1864(a)). No juror fees or costs for this appearance will be paid, unless otherwise ordered by the Court. 28 U.S.C. § 1864(b) lists the penalties that may be imposed by the Court for any person who fails to appear as ordered or to show good cause for noncompliance with the summons. The potential penalties include a fine, imprisonment and community service.
