Rule 55 RECORDS (Amended May 24, 2017)

(a) Docket Numbers Upon the filing of an information or indictment a case will be assigned a criminal docket number followed by the initials of the Judge to whom the case has been assigned.

(b) Special Proceeding Docket Numbers All matters involving special proceedings shall be assigned a docket number followed by the initials of the Judge to whom the case has been assigned.

(c) Subsequent Proceedings If a proceeding is brought before the special proceedings Judge pursuant to this Rule 55 and the matter results in the filing of an information or an indictment, the case shall be assigned in the manner provided in Rule 50 of these Local Rules. In all other cases, the Judge to whom a special proceedings matter has been assigned shall normally preside over that matter until it has been concluded.
