LCR 44-3. CONTINUITY OF REPRESENTATION ON APPEAL
(a) Unless the court orders otherwise, counsel appointed under LCR 44-1 or retained counsel designated under LCR 44-2 must continue to represent the defendant through the completion of the direct appeal.
(b) Counsel who wishes to withdraw after the notice of appeal is filed must move for leave to withdraw in the Court of Appeals and must comply with any applicable rules of that court.
(c) If a defendant is sentenced to imprisonment and cannot afford appellate counsel, the court will appoint counsel for the appeal in accordance with applicable law.
